Ballroom Dance Masters Inspire Fitness as Professional Sports on Hold

ballroom dance masters

Ballroom dance masters are helping people cope with the postponement of professional sports, including the Masters Golf Tournament. Fred Astaire Dance Studios is excited to shares videos from the masters of dance for fitness inspiration and entertainment.

Golf lovers tune in this week to watch professionals showcase their skills at the highly competitive Masters Golf Tournament. This major golf tournament is played annually at the Augusta National Golf Club and features numerous golfing landmarks, like Rae’s Creek, a small brook known for swallowing balls before they can land on the 12th green. Tickets to the coveted event sell out quickly, and players vie for a chance to play on the rolling green hills of the celebrated course. Only the best players from around the world get a chance to don the green jacket and celebrate a win at Augusta. Some previous winners include Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Justin Speith.

As our nation adjusts to social distancing guidelines, many treasured sporting events, like the Masters, have been postponed or canceled for safety purposes. The masters of ballroom dance provide a welcome distraction and teach an exercise option people can do in their living rooms. Ballroom dancing helps improve posture and flexibility, and it can also boost muscle strength and improve cardiovascular health.
