Fred Astaire Franchised Dance Studios is once again a proud sponsor of The Fred and Adele Astaire Awards. This year’s award ceremony is taking place tonight, May 16, 2016, and we couldn’t be more excited to learn this season’s recipients of these prestigious dance awards.

The Fred and Adele Astaire awards were established in 1982 to recognize outstanding achievement each season in dance and choreography on Broadway. The award honors the famous sibling dancers Fred and Adele Astaire, who graced the stages of Broadway from 1917 to 1931 with their amazing talent in dance.

Each year, the top talents on Broadway are honored with a gala evening in New York celebrating all of the outstanding dancers and choreographers who have given their many talents on the Broadway stages throughout the years. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit The Douglas Watt Family Fund for the Performing Arts, a dance therapy program for NYC Public Schools students with autism spectrum disorder and other cognitive dysfunctions.
